If an engineer visit has been booked to install your internet, somebody will be required in the property to let the engineer in and get your connection set up. Your group will be provided with a specific date and time-frame for your installation, if you can please ensure that somebody is in the property during this time. Any missed appointments will be subject to a missed appointment charge.
If you have a Plusnet router being sent through the post, there won’t be an engineer visit required and you won’t need to be in for the delivery as the router usually fits through standard letterboxes. Your group will receive the confirmed delivery date via email in advance along with the date that the connection is due to go live.
If you have a Virgin Media QuickStart kit being sent through the post, there won’t be an engineer visit needed but the delivery will require somebody to be in the property to sign for the package via Yodel. Your group will be provided with a specific delivery date via email, the lead tenant on your utilities account should then receive a text message on the morning of the delivery from Yodel to confirm a more specific delivery window.
Please be advised that if an engineer is unable to gain access to your property on the installation date that we have confirmed to your group, there may be a missed appointment charge of £144.00 passed on by your internet provider; therefore it’s really important to let us know if your group aren’t going to be in on the installation date. You can view details on how to change your installation date on our article ‘I want to change my installation date’.
